so, this is what i’m getting as my tattoo. almost definitely. it’ll be a slight variation on this, though, and i’ll probably design it myself.  this is AURYN, from The Neverending Story. it’s a Double Orobolus. The symbol itself means Infinity, because two snakes eat each other’s tails. They represent the human world and Fantastica, or good and evil. If one world gets destroyed, the other will too…they’re linked. if one of the snakes was to let go, it would put the entire universe into imbalance. each snake has to eat the other to sustain life; life comes from death and death comes from life. (like Grogammon, The Many-Coloured Death must die every night so that Perilin, The Night Forest can grow in Goab, The Desert of Colours) On a different level, the entire symbol represents freedom and power. on the AURYN amulet, the words ‘do what you wish’ are inscribed. whoever wears the amulet has the freedom to do whatever they want. Also, “it looks all mystical and shit.” xD
